Born 1956 in Sri Lanka. Studied ceramics at Bath Academy of Art (1976-9), North Staffordshire Polytechnic (1979-81) and Ecole Nationale d’Art Decoratifs in Limoges, France. Has taught in various art colleges since 1981 and set up workshop, exhibiting in the UK and abroad since 1982. Materials and processes involve slip-casting bone china to an eggshell thinness to enhance translucency. Author of book, Slipcasting (1997, A&C Black), and Porcelain and Bone China (2004, Crowood Press).
