Committed to Excellence in British Studio Ceramics
The Craft Potters Association aims to encourage the creation of fine works in studio ceramics, to promote their value in society and to foster the interest of the public in ceramic art. It is the national body representing ceramic artists in the UK. The Association was formed in 1958 by a small group of potters to promote interest in studio ceramics and has now grown to an organisation of some 1000 members. It operates Contemporary Ceramics, the leading studio ceramics gallery in London's west end, publishes Ceramic Review a major international studio ceramics magazine and organises exhibitions, educational events and ceramics fairs. In 1991 the CPA set up the Craft Pottery Charitable Trust to support educational activities in ceramics.
